About Gekkeikan Sake Co.
Founded 1637 by the Okura family. Gekkeikan means Laurel Crown. Pioneered year-round brewing (shiki-jozo). First to sell sake in bottles (1910). Fushimi’s soft water produces gentler style vs Nada’s dry style.
