Yucho Shuzo (Kaze no Mori)

All Kaze no Mori products are nama (unpasteurized), muroka (unfiltered), and genshu (undiluted) – bottled immediately to preserve freshness. Pioneer of the modern fresh-style movement. Nara is considered the ancient birthplace of sake.

Imanishi Shuzo (Mimurosugi)

Located at the foot of Mt. Miwa, home to Omiwa Shrine – Japan’s oldest shrine and deity of sake brewing. Revived ancient bodaimoto fermentation starter. Young 14th-generation brewer transformed the brand.

Umenoyado Shuzo

Famous for Aragoshi fruit liqueur series using whole crushed fruits. Balance between traditional sake brewing and innovative fruit-based products. Name means Inn of the Plum Trees.

Choryo Shuzo

Known for Yoshino Cedar taru-zake (barrel-aged sake) using prized Yoshino sugi cedar. Has two brewing locations: Nara (Koryo) and Hiroshima. Choryo means Long Dragon.

Harushika (Imanishi Seibee Shoten)

Located in Naramachi, the historic merchant quarter. Harushika means Spring Deer, honoring Nara’s famous sacred deer. Popular tasting room offers 500-yen five-sake tasting with a souvenir glass.
